2. ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who otherwise satisfy these Official Rules.
The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Employees, officers, owners, representatives, agents, and members of the immediate household of Penny Bids LLC are not eligible to participate.
No Penny Bids membership or purchase is required to enter or win.
3. MONTHLY SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Penny Bids Rewards Sweepstakes operates as a recurring monthly promotion.
Unless otherwise announced by Penny Bids, each monthly Sweepstakes Period begins at 12:00 a.m. Central Time on the first calendar day of the month and ends at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the last calendar day of that month.
Only eligible entries received or generated for the applicable monthly Sweepstakes Period will be included in that month’s drawing.
Entries do not carry over from one monthly Sweepstakes Period to another.
4. FREE METHOD OF ENTRY
Eligible participants may enter the Sweepstakes without making a purchase or becoming a Penny Bids member.
To enter for free, complete and submit the official Penny Bids Rewards Sweepstakes entry form during the applicable monthly Sweepstakes Period.
Entrants must provide the requested information accurately and agree to these Official Rules.
There is no charge to submit a free entry.
Limit one (1) eligible entry per person per monthly Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry.
Duplicate, incomplete, fraudulent, automated, or otherwise invalid entries may be disqualified.
5. PENNY BIDS MEMBER AUTOMATIC ENTRY
Eligible active Penny Bids members may receive one (1) automatic entry into the applicable monthly Sweepstakes drawing.
An eligible active member does not need to submit the free entry form in order to receive the applicable automatic entry.
Automatic member entry is provided as a convenience.
Purchasing, renewing, or maintaining a Penny Bids membership does not provide additional entries, additional chances to win, or better odds of winning than the free method of entry.
If an eligible member has already submitted a free entry for the applicable monthly Sweepstakes Period, the member’s automatic entry will not create an additional entry.
Regardless of entry method, each eligible participant is limited to one (1) entry per monthly Sweepstakes Period.
6. EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO WIN
Participants entering through the free method and eligible members receiving an automatic entry have the same opportunity to win.
A Penny Bids membership does not provide preferential treatment in winner selection.
One person = one eligible entry per monthly drawing.
7. PRIZE
Unless otherwise stated on the applicable Penny Bids Sweepstakes page, the monthly prize is:
One (1) $25 Gift Card
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $25.00
The specific gift card, merchant, brand, or other applicable prize details may be identified on the Penny Bids Sweepstakes page.
The prize may not be transferred or substituted by the winner except where permitted by the Sponsor.
If an advertised prize becomes unavailable, the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law.
8. WINNER SELECTION
After each monthly Sweepstakes Period closes, one (1) potential winner will be selected at random at the beginning of the following month from all eligible entries received for the applicable monthly Sweepstakes Period.
The exact drawing date may vary.
The drawing will be conducted by Penny Bids LLC or its designated representative.
Every eligible entry included in the applicable drawing has an equal opportunity to be selected.
9. ODDS OF WINNING
Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received for the applicable monthly Sweepstakes Period.
Purchasing or maintaining a Penny Bids membership does not improve the odds of winning.
10. WINNER NOTIFICATION
The potential winner will be contacted using the email address or other contact information associated with the winning entry.
The potential winner may be required to verify eligibility and provide information reasonably necessary to confirm eligibility and award the prize.
The potential winner must respond within the time specified in the winner notification.
If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the specified period, declines the prize, fails to satisfy the eligibility requirements, or is otherwise determined to be ineligible, the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected.
11. PRIZE DELIVERY
The prize will be delivered using a method determined by Penny Bids LLC.
The confirmed winner is responsible for providing accurate information necessary to receive the prize.
Penny Bids LLC is not responsible for an inability to deliver a prize resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information supplied by the winner.
12. TAXES
Any federal, state, or local taxes or other obligations resulting from acceptance or use of a prize are the responsibility of the winner where applicable.
13. ENTRY CONDITIONS
By participating, entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of Penny Bids LLC regarding administration of the Sweepstakes.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an entrant or entry reasonably determined to involve fraud, false information, manipulation, automated entry methods, attempts to obtain more than the permitted number of entries, interference with Sweepstakes administration, or other violations of these Official Rules.
14. TECHNICAL PROBLEMS
Penny Bids LLC is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected, or unsuccessful entries resulting from internet, website, computer, server, telecommunications, software, or other technical problems beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control.
If a technical problem affects the Sweepstakes, Penny Bids LLC may take reasonable steps consistent with applicable law to preserve the fairness and integrity of the promotion.
15. MODIFICATION, SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Penny Bids LLC reserves the right to modify, suspend, postpone, or terminate a Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failure, unauthorized intervention, legal requirements, events beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, or other circumstances materially affect the security, fairness, integrity, or proper administration of the Sweepstakes.
Any such action will be taken in a manner consistent with applicable law.
16. PRIVACY
Information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes will be handled in accordance with the Penny Bids Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Information collected may be used for purposes including Sweepstakes administration, eligibility verification, winner notification, prize fulfillment, fraud prevention, and applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements.
17. PUBLICITY
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize may constitute permission for Penny Bids LLC to identify the winner by first name and state for purposes reasonably related to announcing or administering the Sweepstakes, without additional compensation, subject to applicable law.
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Penny Bids LLC will not be responsible for losses or damages resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control in connection with participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of a prize.
Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Sweepstakes and these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If any provision of these Official Rules is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
20. WINNER INFORMATION
Winner information may be made available by Penny Bids LLC as required by applicable law.
Requests concerning winner information may be submitted to Penny Bids LLC through the contact information provided on the Penny Bids website.
21. OFFICIAL RULES AND INTERPRETATION
These Official Rules govern the Penny Bids Rewards Sweepstakes.
In the event of an inconsistency between promotional materials and these Official Rules, these Official Rules will control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants acknowledge that they have read and agree to these Official Rules.
